Champions on Every Field
From consecutive state swimming titles to elite rugby, rowing, and tennis — sport at St Peters shapes character, builds resilience, and produces champions. With 25+ sports, every student finds their arena.
Competitive Spirit,
Balanced Life
Sport at St Peters is built on a simple belief: every student deserves the opportunity to challenge themselves, compete with purpose, and grow through the experience of being part of a team. Whether a student is aiming for a state title or stepping onto a field for the first time, there is a pathway here for them.
The College competes through the AIC (Associated Independent Colleges) for boys and QGSSSA (Queensland Girls Secondary Schools Sports Association) for girls — two of Queensland's most prestigious school sporting competitions. Alongside those, the Brisbane School Girls Rowing Association (BSRA) and various club competitions ensure students at every level get genuine, meaningful competition.
At junior levels, the emphasis is on enjoyment, skill development, and learning to compete with integrity. At senior levels, the bar rises — and so does the support. Elite coaching, high-performance facilities, and structured development programs mean those who want to excel have every resource to do so.
Inter-House carnivals in swimming, athletics, and cross country ensure that every student — regardless of team selection — competes for their House and their peers. These whole-school events are a highlight of the St Peters sporting calendar.
